Press Release
Nine months in, following the launch of Jus Burger’s flagship store in Leeder-ville, we’re gearing up to take on the challenge of… the ‘site that doesn’t work’; namely, 1 Rokeby road Subiaco, cnr Roberts & Rokeby (rear). The site has been subdivided, and with a desire to remain as boutique as possible this suits the JB’s style whilst embracing the properties north facing and ‘under-utilised’ al-fresco area.
Apart from the trendy sun-drenched al-fresco, and booth style seating indoors, we’ll be throwing in a curve ball with the additional point of sale till ‘hole in the wall’… to service what we’re calling ‘Jus to go’ (take-away/phone orders). This area will be self sufficient, with its own phone line… you might want to jot this one down - 9381 1895.
Our fresh food (no freezer allowed) and all the usual suspects will be coming along for the ride - the pumpkin, the mullet, the half & half for lunch, the roo, onion rings; as will the same yummy prices as Leedy - no increase. b.y.o remains at just $2 a glass for wine/ beer, decid-ing not to apply for a liquor license in order to stay focused on the commitment to our core product, food!
As proud supporters of West Australian businesses, and being the very first accredited res-taurant in our state to promote and embrace the ‘Buy West Eat Best’ program, we will con-tinue to advocate this in Subi. Check out some fun you tube footage of the Hon. Terry Redman (minister for food and agriculture) cooking at JBs.
Finalist in the R&CIA’s ‘Best New Restaurant’ category, a swag-full of positive press, and taking out the national and state People’s Choice ‘I love food’ Best Hamburger award, are just a few of the successes the JBs team have celebrated… and there’s no plan to stop. Check out more at the Jus Burgers site.
We value the feedback and suggestions from the friends of JBs, and now, by listening to our guests and reading comments on-line, we have identified a couple of areas where we be-lieve we can improve. The chips - soon to be skin-on but still fresh cut, and the gluten free buns - still from Bodhis bakery in Freo, but now significantly bigger to better hold the gener-ous filling… we all win!
The same core team will drive the venture, and as we value your continued support, we look forward to seeing you in Subiaco very soon!
Cheers,
Justin & the Jus Burgers Team
