As the boarded-up construction area proclaimed "Its gardening not architecture", Perth's latest and perhaps most unique Bar/Restaurant focuses on the use of recycling and eco-friendly processes to serve up the its modern cuisine in style.

The first thing you notice from the street are the 1000's of potted strawberries that make up the facade of the building, following very closely by the recycled furnishings, fittings and all round decor. The Greenhouse asks you to question what you know about traditional hospitality, and invites you to witness the premium/quality side of green practices and produce. Its St Georges Tce location is a testament to the last sentence, as the bar provides an in-your-face invitation to the high-end corporates that stroll the pavement out front.

I only had a glass of wine on my first visit, and apart from a slightly over-tired barman, I will be sure to head back for a meal sometime soon. Be sure to check out this place out!
